Centuries of Family Business
Our family has a very long history of using nature's bounty to produce quality salves, ointments, tinctures, elixers & oils to help a wide variety of ailments.
The first known apothecary in the family was Gideon Delaune, son of Reverend Doctor William (Guillaume) Delaune, a Huguenot refugee to England from France in the late 16th century. By 1603, Gideon was Royal Apothecary to Queen Anne of Denmark and her husband, James I & VI (King of England and Scotland).
In 1617, Gideon was instrumental in securing a Royal Charter from James I to create the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries. A white marble bust and oil portrait of Gideon still reside in their Hall in Blackfriars, London.
Beyond securing the charter, he also served the office of Junior Warden in 1624, Senior Warden in 1627, and became Master of their Order in 1637.

To and Beyond the 20th Century...
Moving into the modern age and to the US, a variety of fantastic ointments, creams, personal hygiene and flavoring products were available from our family's Phillips and Rice Products Co. from the 1930s through the mid-1960s.
Natural products with the benefit of modern techniques for distillation of oils meant a much wider range of items and uses.
With proven active ingredients that are known homeopathic agents, their products were effective and highly sought by the local community. Their Mustard and Camphor Ointment was a must have each autumn for families.
Our own various Miracula have their roots in the Phillips and Rice formulations.
Healthcare designed by Nature
Our family has continued in the field of natural medicines into the 21st Century and the most modern elements of homeopathy available.
This includes production management experience at a global pharmaceutical company specializing in therapeutic solutions derived from natural ingredients to help activate, regulate, and modulate the body's own processes for effectively supporting healing.
The combination of centuries of our family knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art techniques has helped establish Doctor Ophidian's natural solutions as medicine cabinet must-haves!

We invest in the highest quality ingredients possible using American sources where feasible and importing the remainder from the finest global sources available.
Once here in Albuquerque, we concoct each batch according to our strict production procedures to ensure uniformity in each jar of Miraculum. It's then bottled, labeled, and ready to go out to you!
Our family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA in 1968 and have enjoyed the beautiful vistas, dry climate, and wonderful local culture (including adding many new and exciting natural remedies and materials into our Apothecary Toolkit!) ever since. We intend to maintain this as our base of operations and manufacturing.
